I would like to preface this with saying that I am VERY green when it comes to using a lot of this stuff. I have had a YouTube channel for about 4 years now, where I run live play RPG sessions (games like Dungeons & Dragons). I currently host the games using a Zoom virtual meeting, and use OBS for extra production value.
The issue that I am having is that I enjoy listening to my playlists on Spotify while running these games, but cannot have it broadcast to my audience... as that creates copyright infringement issues for my channel. Ideally, I would love for the other people in the Zoom meeting to be able to hear the music too.
I have downloaded VoiceMeeter, but I understand even less about it than I do OBS. A friend also told me that using it to create a virtual cable can cause loud spikes in the volume for the other people in the Zoom meeting.
Do any of you fine folks here have any ideas about how to accomplish this? If so, could you please explain it to a neophyte like myself?
