sports training - instant replay with OBS?

Hello,
I want to realize an instant replay setup with OBS and want to know if this is possible with this software.

1. I want to record the input of the built-in camera of my device and
2. replay the recorded video instantly during the recording, with an adjustable delay of 4 to 10 seconds.
3. Optionally it would be great to have the option to move in the recorded video, go back and forth, slow down and so on and then go back to the recording point (minus the delay)

Is this possibele and how can I realize it?

Hi,

I've been using the plugin Replay Source for some time when streaming sports.
I have defined two scenes, one with a replay source of 6 seconds and one with 12 seconds.

You control it using hotkeys. I have set up my stream deck to simplify controlling it.

If you have multiple replay sources, you should ensure that both sources will load replay at the same time (for instance set <F1> as the hotkey for loading replay on both sources)

I am able to play back either the short replay or the long - or both in sequence.
Replays can be stored in memory or on disk. Depending on quality of your recording/stream, it can be very memory intensive!

You can control the speed. Not sure how you can rewind it.

You can probably also solve some of your needs just using the built in replay buffer in OBS, and using VLC for playback. VLC can also be added as a source in a scene.

Good luck!

I'm unexperienced in using OBS. So, it maybe I`ll have some more questions, please watch this....;)

works great. I use the built-in delay for the delay and Replay Source for the replays.

Thanks.

I'm streaming live sports. For the last week, I have been looking for a setup of the Replay Source plugin. I wanted to have the possibility to replay a nine-second action inside one point at the of the point. After really lots of tries, I have set up my Replay Source Visibility Action on Pause, I get this one with a Load Replay hotkey (in my case F1). I go to the Replay Scene but don't yet transition to it and instead wait for the point to the end. When the point ends I press the Restart Hotkey (in my case F2) and Transition that scene to the output which now shows my slow-motion nine-second replay and automatically transitions to the scene I want, the stream. If useful, use it.
