Hey Guys,
I really like OBS and I have an idea for a feature I want some feedback on.
I want to split the .flv output files at specific intervals. As an example, users can split the output file every 5 MB. Each subsequent file will get the count appended. (output1.flv, output2.flv, output3.flv … etc) This will simplify bookmarking long streaming sessions.
For now I think only flv will be supported since that container is the simplest.
Here is mockup:
Two follow-up questions:
1. Do does anyone feel this would be a great feature to have?
2. Does anyone know how to implement this? I can compensate you for your time under the condition you make a pull request so the whole community can benefit from the new functionality. I can do paypal or bitcoin.
Let me know what you think and if you’re interested in working on this. PM me.
Thanks
