Question / Help Specific Settings Questions

I have some questions about what some of the specific settings do.

1. My monitor is 1920x1080. For 720p streaming, is it better to have my base resolution at 1920x1080 and then downscale, or should I make the custom 1280x720?

2. Desktop Boost just makes the volume that I here louder for others?

3. Under Advanced, "Scene Buffering Time"? What should I have this set at? I put the process priority class to Normal (I am assuming that is good).

4. Use Mic QPC timestamps? What is this?

5. Automatic low latency mode? Keep this unchecked I assume?

6. Latency tuning factor? I have this at 20, is that good?

7. x264 CPU Preset is set to veryfast. Encoding Profile should be main? And keyframe interval 2? Not sure what the profile and keyframe thing does.

Thank you in advance!

1. Stay at 1920 x 1080 and let OBS do the downscale to 720p

2. Yes

3. I have mine at 400 which i believe is default?

4. Stops mic desync in certain situations

5. Keep unchecked

6. Keep at 20

7. Keep the x264 CPU Preset at Veryfast unless you think your hardware can handle faster encoding. It puts serious strain on the CPU though even jumping from Veryfast to faster.

Leave the profile to main and keyframe interval at 2 for twitch usually. I've seen it changed but not sure why.
