Question / Help Sources Question - Right Click for Filters Doesn't Work

I am trying to do what it says to right click on the source such as Video Capture Device to access filters...etc., but when I right click I get nothing. The only video source I get is FaceTime. I am so new at this. Can anyone help me figure this out?

You have to add the source to the sources list first. Right-click in the sources box, click the type of source you want, set the options you want and click OK. Now that the source is added, right-click on it in the sources list. You should see the Filters menu then.

I will try this again, but I believe I already tried this. I added Video Capture Device under Sources and clicked OK and tried to right click and nothing happened. Is there a hot-key method of "right click" as I am wondering if it has something to do with my iMac mouse.
