Sources Dock not working

Hi everyone,

I’m having a major issue with OBS Studio and could really use some help.

  • I originally had StreamElements SE.Live installed, but it was causing constant errors (400 authentication errors, failed tokens, etc.).
  • I uninstalled SE.Live, removed leftover plugin folders, and even reset OBS (renamed the %appdata%\obs-studio folder).
  • Now OBS opens, but the Sources panel is broken: when I click the + button, nothing happens at all — no menu pops up to add sources like Display Capture or Video Capture Device.
  • I also get errors when trying to connect Twitch: “fail to authenticate Twitch account” and sometimes “cannot access channel or stream key.”
  • I’ve tried:
    • Resetting the UI (View → Docks → Reset UI)
    • Creating a new profile in OBS
    • Running OBS as administrator
    • Reinstalling OBS Studio (latest version from obsproject.com)
    • Clearing out plugin folders
None of these fixed the issue.

My setup:

  • Windows 11 64-bit
  • Latest OBS Studio (freshly downloaded)
Right now, I can’t add a camera, display, or any sources at all — and Twitch won’t authenticate properly.

Any advice on how to fix the Sources panel not responding and clear the Twitch authentication errors would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
