Hi everyone,
I’m having a major issue with OBS Studio and could really use some help.
My setup:
Any advice on how to fix the Sources panel not responding and clear the Twitch authentication errors would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
I’m having a major issue with OBS Studio and could really use some help.
- I originally had StreamElements SE.Live installed, but it was causing constant errors (400 authentication errors, failed tokens, etc.).
- I uninstalled SE.Live, removed leftover plugin folders, and even reset OBS (renamed the %appdata%\obs-studio folder).
- Now OBS opens, but the Sources panel is broken: when I click the + button, nothing happens at all — no menu pops up to add sources like Display Capture or Video Capture Device.
- I also get errors when trying to connect Twitch: “fail to authenticate Twitch account” and sometimes “cannot access channel or stream key.”
- I’ve tried:
- Resetting the UI (View → Docks → Reset UI)
- Creating a new profile in OBS
- Running OBS as administrator
- Reinstalling OBS Studio (latest version from obsproject.com)
- Clearing out plugin folders
My setup:
- Windows 11 64-bit
- Latest OBS Studio (freshly downloaded)
Any advice on how to fix the Sources panel not responding and clear the Twitch authentication errors would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
