Question / Help Source Games No Audio?

Hello,

Hopefully this is a simple fix that I simply overlooked. I'm trying to record footage from Source games on steam, mostly Gmod, and when I do so with OBS, it doesn't pick up the game audio. Picks up my voice and video feed just fine, but it doesn't pick up my audio. I noticed this with other Source games as well. Tested it on HL2.

Every other game I have records the audio just fine. Just seems that when I try to record a Source game, the audio is strangely omitted. I have the audio set up properly in the settings. No sure how to fix this. I'd be grateful for a solution to this seemingly simple problem.

Are those games set to the same audio device that OBS captures from?

I have this same problem. I have the HT Omega Striker. Any suggestions? I've been struggling with this for days I cannot get my stream to pick up in game sound only :(

Try disabling GX mode in the Xonar settings.
