Question / Help Source Android tablet window is blank

Just started to use OBS Studio. I have an Android tablet connected by USB to my PC and am using a Samsung sync program that shows the tablet window on my PC. When I add the tablet window as a Source I don't see any of the graphics inside the window, just the plain color of my PC desktop background with the window outline.

I tried Window capture using Cam Studio & that worked by default but Cam Studio has been crashing on me the last few times.

I've read in an OBS forum that Aero should be enabled. My log file says it's disabled but Disable Aero in my settings isn't checked. Maybe that's nothing to do with it anyway. Also, I'm using the zip download OBS Studio version if that makes any difference.

I attach the log file.

Grateful for any help - thanks.

That setting only forces aero off if it's on. It can't force aero on if it's off in windows' settings.

I see - thanks for that Harold. From a quick read about Aero I can't see how enabling it would help, can you?

Harold,

I tried enabling it anyway and it made no difference. The tablet window is still completely transparent. Never mind, I can use Cam Studio to create an avi video and then convert afterwards using ffmpeg.

Thanks for your help.
