Question / Help Sound sync issues w/ Elgato

Hello,

I am having a small issue when trying to stream using OBS and Elgato HD. The issue I am having is that on stream, the sound is coming through quicker than the video, which is odd because on my computer screen, the Elgato software shows everything synced up.

Basically, the signal from my Xbox is going through the Elgato software on my computer, and I see and hear the game about 1.3 seconds after my TV does on the computer. I use a Window Capture so I can get the Elgato video and my speedrun timer all in one screen. I use a 1300ms delay for the mic and the timer to sync with the video/audio. The delay works perfectly for the video, as it should, but it seems that the audio for some reason (game audio) is coming onto the stream in real time, meaning I hear it 1.3 seconds before I see it. Everything else seems to work fine and I can't figure out why it is de-syncing.

An example of what is happening is here on my most recent stream. You should only need to watch a minute or less to see what I mean. http://www.twitch.tv/justinman114/v/38876105

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Your Elgato (through OBS) has a 1.5 second delay. Through the Elgato Software it remedies this but, in OBS you have to handle it manually. Follow this video as it helped me.

(sorry for the long link)

The abridged version of this video is Elgato take 1.5 seconds to process and transmit its info to your PC. And OBS don't handle the slowness. So you need to key in a few numbers like the video above shows ya and you'll be good as gold. GL
