Question / Help Sound Reversal

I am noticing that when I broadcast in certain games (I've noticed this in CS:GO) my sound is backwards left to right, but normal front to back.

I'm using a Logitech headset with a usb adapter (I don't have the specifics on it right now, but will modify this post later).

Anyone experienced this sort of problem? Obviously CS:GO is tough to play when people running up from your left sound like they're coming from the right.

The users should hear whatever you hear, so I'm not entirely sure what to suggest. I actually haven't heard that in CS:HO streams though.

What I mean is that in my headest, I hear a reversal of sounds.

An example:

I'm standing in the middle of Dust2 sniping in CS:GO on CT side. A person runs down the ramp from the right and I fully hear these footsteps coming from my left.

I don't really care about streaming in 5.1 surround because that's a bit ridiculous, but I can't stream CS:GO with the sound backwards.

OBS only reads audio data it's sent, it doesn't alter it so I'm not really sure why this would be occurring for you. Perhaps you accidentally changed a setting in the game or Windows audio?

Also, can you provide a log file? Here's how: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=97

Probably some sort of driver bug. OBS doesn't modify the audio subsystems of windows at all, all it does is read the sound data, so most likely it's an issue with drivers if that happens out to your actual headphones while gaming.

That's why I thought it was weird. It only happens with CS:GO and OBS. I'll try to get some logs if that might shed some light.

It looks like it's inside the drivers for the Logitech G430. I just got it without running OBS. Thanks for the help.

No it cannot be only the drivers, mine has NEVER done this until I started trying to stream today, and it only does it WHILE streaming. Gotta be something else.

Edit: More precisely the software or plugin that the program uses to capture sound, for some reason it is interfering with my driver. I need to find a fix seriously I don't understand why it would mess with anything.

Again...OBS doesn't modify audio data in any way, and doesn't hook itself in to any process in an invasive manner in order to capture audio.

I know this is an old thread, but did this ever get resolved. I have the same problem. It has to be an OBS issue because it doesnt ever ever happen when i am not streaming. Its extremely disruptive
