Question / Help sound recording problem

this is a bit of a weird issue but i was trying to record some video and for what ever reason my obs was not recording sound at all i am using the multiplatform. I am recording to mp4 and i'm on windows ten.
It seems to know i'm making noise here but no recording of it happens

Don't use windows media player to check the recordings.
Use VLC.

the problem is i uploaded these videos to youtube they simply have NO sound as far as i can tell

Post your log from the recording session then.

I'm experiencing the same issue.

Same here. I selected the correct devices in the OBS setting and the sounds are picked up by OBS (indicated by the slider) but the recording have no sounds. :(

And yet no one posts their log files. We really do need them to see what's going on.

And I can see that in line 2xx that the sound devices were terminated.
