Question / Help Sound Problems

I was wondering if there is a way to set a max volume for your game that you are streaming. What is happening is that anytime I stream a PC game, the game volume is peaking out and it is way too loud coming into OBS. I have tried going into the game's Audio Settings and lowering the Master Volume, turning down my PC's volume, and dropping the OBS volume bar down to 5% and I am still peaking out.

Is there any way to fix this? I can't even hear my game through headphones, but yet the game volume is incredibly loud on my stream. I do not have this problem when using my Elgato for console games. Only with Game Capture on OBS for PC games.

Do you happen to have your OBS "desktop audio boost" set to something higher than 1? If it's at 1, I'm not sure if negative values will work but you could try that.

It's set at 1. I tried clicking the down arrow and it didn't go any lower. So I tried highlighting it and typing in a number, such as 0. It worked, but then when I hit Apply and OK, I went back to check and it is back at 1 again...
