Question / Help Sound keeps crashing

This is a very frustrating and annoying issue.

When I try to broadcast, sound crashes (this also happens with XSplit). Then I have to restart Audioserv in the services tab in Task Manager. Then I have to restart any video game and Youtube videos.

What I tried:

Running hardware tests with Ultimate Boot. All seems OK, including video card, memory, DIMMS, etc.
Running video card stress test.
Updating audio drivers.
Updating video drivers.
Disabling audio enhancements.
Recording with Fraps seems OK.
Checking the logs in event viewer for any reports on hardware/software issues. I could not find much, unless I am looking for the wrong thing.

This may be related to the Windows 10 issues as I read in the sticky before posting this thread. That's just a wild guess. However, other people have been looking for a solution to the audio crash issue as well, and still may have nothing to do with OBS. Sadly, Google is coming up empty on solutions.

Oh, and this problem persisted with a clean install of Windows 10. The very last and desperate move I can make is downgrading to Windows 7.

Anyway, if anybody has run into this problem and has fixed it, let me know.
