Question / Help Sound issues

I am try to make it so I can mute discord from my stream hearing it while keeping the sound for myself I have a video I watched for help on this matter that I will provide at the end. The issue I have trying to use this video's advice is that when I set the new default device I can no longer personally hear music/google chrome. As a side note another issue i'm having is sound leveling, the sound of music on my end is overbearing sometimes when the stream viewers cannot hear it if at all. thank you for any help

With current versions of Windows 10, it is possible to route application audio to different devices. I didn't see this reflected yet in current guides except this one:

With this, it should be possible to directly assign your media player or browser to your headphones or whatever device you're using for music consumption.
