Question / Help Sound Issues

Hi, I downloaded OBS quite a while ago. And the recording process is fine, but the audio doesn't work. I have a headset I use and I try to connect it. But it doesn't pick up any sound. I'd like to mention down at the bottom with the sound bars (I don't know the scientific name) and doing or saying anything with my mic shows up as on or the green line moves up and down. I'd really like help please! I attached a log file I don't know if that will help. Thanks.

Download VLC and test the video files with that.
The most common 'no sound' issue is caused by playing videos back in Windows Media Player, which has crappy codec support.

If the volume meter line is moving, OBS is picking up sound, and recording it.

I've tried that, but I don't like downloading another program just for one I already have that should work fine. Plus my computer is locked with a password when I try to download something and I am not able to change or get it. Also, if it just isn't supported by Windows Media Player then shouldn't the audio show up in Youtube?

The program you have does not 'work fine'. It has absolute crap codec support, and is the most common cause of this exact problem. We can't help if you are given advice and decide not to follow it.
