Question / Help Sound Echoing

So I am using VAC to stop vent from going to my stream.

I have 2 lines from VAC, both lines are listening to my speakers. Vent is being output over line 2 while OBS is outputting through Line 1.

Problem is though..I am hearing echoing on my stream. You can hear past audio happen twice sometimes echoing what is being played through the speakers. Any ideas?

I also have OBS microphone option muted, so I dont believe the mic is somehow picking up the sound playing from my headphones.

I am, and thats where im hearing it. I mute my game sound, I just listen to it on stream. And say Ill play a game like hearthstone. I hear the player vs player. then 15 seconds later..again player vs player..then again 15 seconds later player vs player. I mute the stream, the echoing stops.

Im not talking about having stream up..and hearing stream + game echo. The stream itself is echoing sound.

some steam games have a auto mic config sadly best thing to do is push to talk and bind 2 diffrent keys for mic transmit 1 to ts and one for in game both which activated ts mic

it sounds like a mic cross over on the wires which will be the hs

OBS has mic disabled. and vent has Push to talk.

that being said..its not talking thats carrying over..its actual game audio thats echoing.

You shouldn't be watching your own stream with audio on.

this has nothing to do with it. even when muted others are hearing it echo. Even if im not on twitch at all, others watcying still hear it. I dont think your understanding..lol

if its happening when you arent streaming its not an obs issue. Maybe the listen option in windows recording devices is enabled. I am not sure. But honestly with mic disabled in obs, obs isnt your issue. you are using VAC maybe you need to reconfigure that.
just some thoughts.

im streaming, i was tryign to say I didn't have my stream open in a window.

The echo isn't coming from hearing my own stream..point im trying to make that others are missing. I can mute the stream, others will hear it. I can have no stream window open, others can hear the echo. And i know it comes from the stream because the echoing stops when the stream is muted.

understand that we are all misunderstanding you. You said i mute the stream and others hear it yet you said the echoing stops when you mute the stream. Check your mic device. Make sure its not yet to "what you hear" in obs. Other than that. Im out of options.

When I say mute the stream, I mean, I have my stream window open, I press mute on the sound.

Ok..ill try again.

Mic is disabled in OBS. I have VAC set up with the 2 line setup. I start streaming, and people are saying they can hear echoing. So I go onto my stream, just like a view, and I hear it as well. The echoing stops if I turn the sound off on my stream window (like a viewer) so I know that the echo is being broadcasted over the stream. There is no echo when I dont stream or when I have it muted.

So I go back to my example, say im playing a game, like hearthstone, or LoL. When the announcer says minions have spawned, or hunter vs mage, that is echoed over and over again on stream every 15 seconds or so. the stream continues with the normal audio with the echo playing over it.

its not me hearing my stream open while I play. Mic is disabled in OBS. This happens even if I dont have any mic using programs like vent.

hope that makes it more clear.. I also made sure that my mic isn't in listen mode in my Xonar program.

remove VAC from the equation, does it work as it should? If so. Reconfigure VAC or swap the lines. If not im really not sure.

set VAC as default audio device in windows, so game audio goes to VAC, select the VAC Output as the desktop audio device in OBS
set Vent as your speakers
Use Mic as normal
