So I have built two computers, one for gaming and one for Streaming. I use the Avermedia HD Capture card that comes from my gaming computer's video card, into the Avermedia Capture card in the stream comp so that I can get the video over to the Streaming computer.The video is fine. The sound is also fine if I set my OBS to "use device audio" and then set my sound in the control panel to output to the avermedia capture card on the Gaming computer via HDMI, HOWEVER, I need to hear sound in my Astro a50 and send the sound to the Stream computer simultaneously, so using the Mix Amp this should work fine as a friend of mine has the same exact setup WITH NO DELAY.
So now my setup is, Optical cable going from my gaming computer into the OPT IN port on the a50 transmitter, I get sound in my headphones with no delay and everything is fine. Their is an OPTICAL OUT port on the back of this mixamp which is used to send the audio elsewhere (in my case the streaming computer. So I have the OPT Out Port plugged into my streaming comp's sound card OPT IN port. YES, I get the sound, HOWEVER, it is about a half a second to a full second delayed which becomes very annoying to watch when I am streaming FPS's as the gunshot will never sync up with the recoil and the viewers will leave the channel due to this. It is not the a50 mixamp because I bypassed the Mixer and went straight from the OPT Out port on the gaming PC to the OPT In port on the streaming PC, still had the delay.
Is their some sort of setting that must be applied? I have also tried change the global audio sync in the advanced settings but had no luck. I assume it isnt the capture card, because it works fine through the HDMI.
I have ordered a replacement sound card today but I doubt that is the issue.
I have put so much work into building this setup and I can't believe I cannot figure this little thing out and it is driving me insane so any help is appreciated greatly!
