When I try to stream anything it starts out fine, then a minute or two in the sound from the game cuts out completely in my headphones and on the stream. It stays this way until I quit obs and restart the game. Here's a link to a test broadcast where you see it happen: http://www.twitch.tv/lordmajeh/b/436800822 At the 33 second mark the sound cuts out
Heres the log file for that recording:

Re: Sound cuts out completely

I can't say for certain why the audio cuts out like that but I do have something else to note -- why use Monitor Capture? You're lagging a massive number of frames (58%) which probably makes it completely unwatchable even if the sound did not cut out.

And any particular reason you chose to go with MP3 instead of AAC?

Re: Sound cuts out completely

I was just using a default setup for that one i dont usually use monitor capture, and im using mp3 just because i tried switching from AAC to see if it helped at all

Re: Sound cuts out completely

88890004 means the device was removed. Either you unplugged headphones / mic or similar, or another app accessed them in exclusive mode and cut OBS off.

Re: Sound cuts out completely

I never unplugged it, so how do I tell if something else put them in exclusive mode?

Re: Sound cuts out completely

You can't. What you can however do is make sure no other program can access it in exclusive mode, by disabling that for that particular device.

Straight and shameless copy/paste off of MSDN:
Right-click the speaker icon in the notification area, which is located on the right side of the taskbar, and select Playback Devices or Recording Devices. (As an alternative, run the Windows multimedia control panel, Mmsys.cpl, from a Command Prompt window. For more information, see Remarks in DEVICE_STATE_XXX Constants.)
After the Sound window appears, select Playback or Recording. Next, select an entry in the list of device names, and click Properties.
After the Properties window appears, click Advanced.
To enable applications to use the device in exclusive mode, check the box labeled Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device. To disable exclusive-mode use of the device, clear the check box.
If exclusive-mode use of the device is enabled, you can specify whether a request for exclusive control of the device will succeed if the device is currently playing or recording shared-mode streams. To give exclusive-mode applications priority over shared-mode applications, check the box labeled Give exclusive mode applications priority. To deny exclusive-mode applications priority over shared-mode applications, clear the check box.

Re: Sound cuts out completely

That didnt work unfortunately, the sound still cut out.

Edit: nevermind actually think i got it to work by unchecking both boxes >.> I'm not the smartest person ever
