Question / Help Sound by program used ONLY?

Is there a way to stream audio by program used?

I'm using OBS v0.657b on Windows 10

I want to listen to music while I stream but OBS picks up all system sound and not just the game's sound. I want to keep out sound from other sources (except my mic of course) so the sound on my streams will stop being muted.

Am I missing something configuration-wise?

No. That's how the Windows audio subsystem works. It's device-based, not source based.
It isn't possible to only record the audio coming from one program.

You can try with something like VB-Audio or VAC to use virtual interfaces and crossbarring, but that relies on the ability to select which device to play sound to, from within your game. Most don't allow this, and go to the default audio device.

Just to point it out, dead air is your friend. If you're bored and it's too quiet, it's a reminder that you, as a caster, should be talking to fill that dead air.
