Sony PXW-Z150 Streaming woes...

Hello,

I'm trying to stream video from my PXW-Z150 camcorder here's my work flow...

-Z150 connected to same WIFI as laptop successfully running OBS
-1234 set as port on Z150
-Stream started successfully on Z150
-"Media Source" added as source in OBS, "local file" deselected and the following has been added in the "input" field:
udp://<my ip address>:1234 (is that correct?)

Once I click "ok" I don't see the feed in the OBS preview window.

I also tried this in VLC using "udp://@:1234" when opening a new network.

I'm a total n00b with all this so any help would be appreciated, thank you!!

Hi, I have more or less the same problem. With the strange difference, that it works on my MacBook in my home network. But it does not work on my iMac and on a Mac Mini in the same home network. And it also does not work on my MacBook in a different network. Tryed 2. I have a big livestream tomorrow now. So if anybody can help very quick, I would be very very happy.

Found it. It's super important, that you use the complete IP adress of your computer (94 in my case) in the hostname settings of the Z150. It only streams to exactly that computer. (sorry, I only have it in German).
