Question / Help Sony PXW-Z150 direct streaming to OBS Studio

The Sony PXW-Z150 can stream video into local network with an destination IP and UDP Port.
In OBS Studio it is possible to directly grab this signal (without going through VLC player).
Solution:
You create a new "media source", deselect "local file" and fill in the field "Input" with "udp://IP-Address:UDP-Port".
(IP-Address of the Camera, UDP-Port as set on the camera.)
On the camera you must activate streaming as specified in the manual.

So it works fine.

Hi,
this settings works on my MacBook Pro on my home network. Whem I use the same settings on my iMac in my home network or on this same MacBook on a different network, it only shows a greyish screen and OBS is crashing soon after that. Any idea, what I might be doing wrong?

Screenshots for orginal Sony tutorial which is in Flash not probably not availbe to be seen any more in the near future. You don't need the VLC Player. You can enter the Z150 URL as a media source directly into OBS.

I think, the sorting is not correct. But I am sure, you will figure it out :-)
