I haven't been able to get OBS to display the video feed for my Sony a7siii, it is just a black screen. I can see the video feed in Streamlabs it's a very weird experience. Im running a MacBook m1 Sonoma. Running OBS 30.0.2
I was having the same issue for months, and just fixed mine a second ago!
I had tried the "restart in safe-mode, terminal command" thing (see link below) but was still having issues.
Right as I was trying to finish this post, I went back in and turned off the camera access to a bunch of other apps in my Mac settings, restarted OS, and all of a sudden, everything was working again. I'm not sure what did it, but I had been trying EVERYTHING the last few months until I ran into the "safe mode" post on Reddit:
Do this step to update to the OLD setting on macs: Did macOS Sonoma 14.1 just remove the ability to use a virtual camera?
Then uninstall OBS, & reinstall
Try removing access to all the other video apps in Mac settings ( I had Chrome, Loom, etc. Turned them all off)
Restart OBS
Use the OBS settings below as needed.
My stack now is: Sony Remote —> OBS Virtual Camera —> Zoom/Other
Best of luck. They sent us all on a wild goose chase with this combo.
