somehow OBS ended up corrupting my brand new 8tb hard drive

when i tried to record with obs on my 8tb hdd, it turned into a nightmare, my 8tb hdd got corrupted and i had to get a new one, thanks OBS.

Sounds like your HDD was faulty from the beginning. OBS only uses user-mode APIs for writing files.

I always run a Full Format of all new HDD's before putting them in service. It takes hours & if the drive is bad from the get go...
