Question / Help Some recordings have no audio while others do, what's going on?

So a friend and I spent hours of work recording gameplay and making sure the recording ran smoothly. A few days later I wanted to look at some of the footage in Windows Media Player, and while one video had audio, the rest did not, making them pretty much useless. At first I thought that it was just a problem with WMP, but now I'm beginning to think that maybe it wasn't recording with audio in the first place. I'm just wondering how could that happen? I've been doing this for months, and so far haven't run into this issue before.

UPDATE: Upon further inspection of one of the videos I recorded, I found that the audio cut out towards the last few minutes of the recording, while all the videos I recorded after that have no audio at all. With that said, I'm starting to think it was a bug with OBS that I didn't notice at the time of recording. Is there a way to prevent the audio from cutting out? This was a huge disappointment and very stressful, and I really don't want it happening again X(
