Some of my settings are grayed out.

My profile setting is grayed out.
Also when I go into General Settings, the Language setting is grayed out.
I use windows 10 and obs 26.1.1

I believe those settings are greyed out when you are streaming.
Stop streaming and see if they are available.

Not just streaming, when any output is active. Including recording, the Virtual Camera, NDI, and a few other filter plugins.

no outputs running, removed chroma key thinking maybe that was it, unplugged my webcam, still greyed out. this bug is getting very frustrating.

I've been having this issue for months with 26.1.1. Very annoying. Just uninstalled virtualcam, disabled all cams in all scenes, everything still greyed out.

woops sorry. forgot i posted this. I thought the issue would have gone away by now. I would hate to uninstall obs and lose my scenes, especially if the problem arises again.

Your log shows you are using the virtual output, settings are disabled while it is active.

I had this issue and it turned out to be that the NDI Output Settings were checked.
When I went into TOOLS NDI Output and unchecked both boxes then all of my settings were available again.

The teleport plugin causes the same problem. Need to uncheck 'Teleport enabled' from the properties screen (Tools >> Teleport)

I was confused about all of this as well, and found that if I go to:

Settings
Stream
uncheck "Enable Enhanced Broadcasting" box
Click "Apply"

Click on "Output"
Set "Output Mode" to 'Advanced'
You should now be able to adjust all the settings that were grayed out.

I hope that helps others with this UI issue
