Question / Help [Solved] Why does AAC audio codec work only in x32 ?

Hello there,
I was wondering why I wasn't able to use AAC audio codec while using x64 OBS ? The AAC scroll option doesn't appear in x64 whereas it does in x32.

Cheers

I'm using 0.51 and it doesn't appear on the scroll list.

Is my PC lacking of some kind of codec package specific for x64 ?

OBS comes with the required audio encoder you'll need but what do you mean by "The AAC scroll option" can you post a screenshot ?

Here is what show's up in OBS x32, the AAC option is selectable :

Here is the same option menu in OBS x64, the AAC isn't available :

Not really sure, but are you running win 7 sp1 ? try updating/restarting your windows.

I have used OBS 64bit AAC on Win7 64bit since the old versions without any issue. So there must be something to do with your system.

Close obs and go to the 64bit folder right click on obs.exe go to proprieties>compatibility and change the compatibility mode back to win7 or disable it all together.
