So I was getting everything ready to stream, and the microphone indicator was red like it always was and showed fluctuating volume levels as I was talking, and the next thing I knew it was greyed out and there was no sound coming from the mic. I have tried searching several forums over the past 2 hours and have come up empty handed.
- I have tried plugging the usb mic into a 2.0 and 3.0 usb slot.
- I have made sure the mic selected in OBS is the default mic, and yes, I made sure the mic was selected in Windows as the default mic.
- I have made sure that "Use Mic QPC timestamps" is unchecked.
- I have tried restarting OBS and restarted my entire system twice.
- I have gone into the sound settings for the mic and unchecked "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."
After all of this, I noticed that the microphone was still working with other programs, it is ONLY OBS that is having the issue. I have been able to stream perfectly fine up until this point using all of the same settings and the same mic. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I have a stream I'm supposed to do all day Saturday. Thank you.
*EDIT: For some reason the mic was muted in OBS. I cleared the hotkey and turned off push to talk. It works fine!
