OS
Windows 10, fully updated as of 30.08.2017
Specs
CPU: i7 6700k OCd to 4.6Ghz
GPU: Gigabyte G1 GTX 980
RAM: 2x8GB DDR4 3200Mhz
Monitor: 1080p 144Hz Gsync and 3 1080p side monitors
Settings
(should be in the log but anyways)
Encoder: Nvenc (Have tried x264, same Problem)
Bitrate: 4000
Resolution: 1600x900@60FPS
Problem
I'll keep it as short as possible
When recording games like Overwatch (in the log file) but also when streaming my OBS drops frames due to rendering lags/stalls.
my CPU doesn't hit 100% usage, not with Nvenc, Quicksync or x264
my RAM doesn't hit 100% usage
my GPU does hit 100% usage in Games and that is when the FPS start to drop
my Components all stay below 70°C, except the GPU that goes up to 75°C sometimes, so they are not overheating
Since i have a 144Hz Gysnc monitor i don't want to limit my FPS to anything below that and since my GPU is pretty powerful i also wanna use it to its full potential and play on high/highest settings
This problem just started randomly, i cant remember when but its been happening in every game from that point on and i have no idea why - i have disabled every overlay or program running in the background and Game DVR and windows gamemode and stuff like that but that didn't help
I have tried rolling back to OBS Version 19.0.3 and that didn't help either, but with OBS Classic it works without a problem with the same settings but it is no longer being updated and all that so i don't wanna use it.
my friend who has an i7 4790 and a GTX 1060 and only one monitor doesn't have any problems
If any of you have an idea or need any other information i can provide let me know
Thanks!
