Hello Humans,
OBS was crashing on me when I would change scene collections (to any scene collection), and it was occasionally crashing on exit (and I'd lose some of the changes I made during the session.)
It wasn't crashing during my stream, though.
I tried removing every plugin I could lose. I updated every plugin (I have about 20 including StreamFX, Advance Scene Switcher, Source Record, Captions, and lots more). I updated OBS. I tried older versions of OBS.
In short, I read every thread I could find and did what I could to fix it save for a reinstall. I could delete every plugin because my scenes solidly depend on them. And I really didn't want to rebuild my complex scenes.
Ultimately, I went through each scene, deleted everything I could, and removed every filter I could live without including SDF effects, Blur, Audio Move, Scale to Sound, and more.
Finally, my issue was solved when I removed the EQ VST I added via the VST functionality on all my audio sources. Problem solved. I was using the RED EQ VST. The plugin worked fine but was still causing my crashes.
I'm just leaving this here in case anyone else has the same issue, or if I forget.
