Question / Help [Solved] Nothing happens when I try to start a stream, encoding error

I'm on Linux Mint 17.3, and I'm trying to stream to Ustream using OBS. Whenever I hit the "Star stream" button, nothing happens. I looked at the log, and here's the line that I think indicates what the problem would be.

[FFmpeg aac encoder: 'simple_aac'] Couldn't find encoder

I'm still a bit of a newbie when it comes to things like streams and encoders, so I have no idea how I can fix it. Here's the full log, in case it helps. http://pastebin.com/QzmPhz2F

Looks like your ffmpeg version is corrupt.

I tried to reinstall it, now I'm getting this error message when attempting to start OBS

error while loading shared libraries: libswresample.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Sorry for the newbie question, but what source should I install it from using my specific distro? Information about ffmpeg is confusing at best.

Edit: I also had to reinstall OBS. Ignore me, I'm an idiot, haha.
