Question / Help [SOLVED] *Newbie* Audio recording through earbuds sounds Muffled

Ok - i've been playing with this for 2 hrs and watched youtube videos to created filters and all that stuff but nothing is working. I'm simply trying to record a tutorial from my desktop. I have a set of earbuds plugged int the 3.5mm jack and when I watch the video, I sound very far away and muffled. I can hear the fan of the computer much loader than anything else....and i have the desktop audio 'off'.

i have to believe there's a fix, i watch all these other people that sound crystal clear?? help

i just noticed that i sound the same if i have my mic plugged in or not. Essentially, the setting show that i'm using the mic line but it's clearly recording from the desktop and i have that turned off?? help

[SOLVED] --- ok, my solution - Went to the computer store. Bought a $49 USB plug and play Snowball microphone. Plugged it in, pointed OBS to Snowball Mic and boom - my sound is crystal clear!!
