Ok so I've been trying my hardest to mess around with my settings in OBS to try and find the least grainy video.
I've tried CBR at a bit rate of 40,000 and I've tried CQP at 25 with high quality and high profile, which with CQP has fine video quality but when things get a bit more intense or there are a lot of shadows the bitrate drops a bunch and its gets a grainy.

I'm wondering if the issue is coming from improper bitrate or if I can keep CQP or CBR how they are and change another setting to fix it.

I'm also rendering in Premiere Pro at a bitrate of 40Mbps and the video comes out fine.

My Settings:
Capture.PNG

That is not grain, it's just pixelation/compression artifacts due to low bitrate.
Just change CQP=25 to CQP=16 and it should look way better.

You're answering to an ancient thread.
There's no CQP because you're using a custom type output. Select x264 and you'll see it. With custom output you have to tell the encoder what to do.

Hi, Thank you for your answer, and sorry to be answering old threads but, I couldn't find any newer ones that might help.
I have only "Custom Output F(FFmpeg)" or "Standard". There is no x264 option.
