The issue:
When I select in Skype the OBS virtual camera, I get a black screen only.

My setting:
Operating system: Arch Linux
OBS Studio Version 27.1.3-3 (64 bit)
Skype Version 8.80.8.143

Detail issue description:
After booting Arch Linux:
$ v4l2-ctl --list-devices
Logitech StreamCam (usb-0000:00:12.2-1):
/dev/video0
/dev/video1
/dev/media0

Starting OBS I start within OBS the Virtual Camera: A pop-up window appears in OBS asking me for the admin-password of Arch Linux, which I provide.

Back in a terminal, again:
$ v4l2-ctl --list-devices
OBS Virtual Camera (platform:v4l2loopback-000):
/dev/video2

Logitech StreamCam (usb-0000:00:12.2-1):
/dev/video0
/dev/video1
/dev/media0

==> So it seems, I have successfully a virtual camera.

I check this with VLC --> in VLC I can select as a Video-device /dev/video2 and it works!
I check this with Skype --> the Skype settings offer me in the camera-menu: "OBS Virtual Camera", but when I select it, the video-screen in Skype stays black :-(

==> Is this a Skype bug or did I miss something.

For any kinds of support, hints, tips, I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance!

Found the solution:
Within OBS: I select the video-source --> right-click --> chose the Option "Ausgabeauflösung anpassen" --> then it works.
(Ausgabeauflösung anpassen <-- I have OBS in German language, this means something like: adjust output resolution)
