Question / Help Solutions to fix white noise

Hey all, this is my first post here, and I'm not sure if there has been a previous thread about this. But whenever I'm playing a PC game my computer's fan always kicks up and it produces a noticeable buzz on my Snowball iCE mic. I know about desktop boost to help alleviate the problem. Is there anything else I can do? I have a pop filter, but alas, the sound of the fan still keeps coming in whenever I talk. I just wanted to know if there was anyone else that has found a solution to this.
Thanks!

I had a bit of a similar issue. My solution was to route my mic through Adobe Audition and use some of the filters to reduce background noise as much as possible. It was then just a case of finding the right position for my mic to cut out the rest.

Before I got my "nice" mic, I used a padded box around the mic to reduce outside sounds. Worked well but was a bit cumbersome to have on the desk.
