Hello!
If you are using 2nd generation Intel HD + Radeon HD called AMD Enduro
You cant use OBS in Fullscreen mode.
This solution is for YOU!
First of all why this thread is in OBS support not GUIDE: Because ppl goes here first with their AMD Enduro problem.
Ive tried many programs such as Xsplit, Overwolf, Raptr, Evolve - but they give much FPS drop or give black screen like OBS and also streaming in windowed/borderless mode gives fps drop, quality drop etc. I studied all of youtube movies, internet threads and much more and bring you this simple steps to fullscreen stream.
OBS multiplatform is in early stage and gives me massive FPS drop too.
Here is solution thread that worked to me without FPS drop and any black screen. Okay Lets go
First of all you will need Dxtory (BUY IT!!!!), Lagarith Loseless Codec and OBS. (Why Lagarith? V.fast and works very well in my opinion - you can chose another ofc)
If you have using AMD Enduro platform you noticed that you cant chose any Radeon HD card - only your Intel and if you want to stream fullscreen you will see black screen.
1. Download Lagarith Loseless Codec - you will need this for fullscreen capture! its free download from here:
http://lags.leetcode.net/codec.html
2. Download and buy Dxtory here:
http://exkode.com/dxtory-downloads-en.html
3. Setup Dxtory step-by-step.
First click into Crosshair Icon and then Ignore Settings and add both OBS 32bit and 64 bit. If your game have Launcher like EVE Online ADD this LAUNCHER TOO.
3.1 In Video Settings Chose Lagarith Loseless Codec then click a pen right to it and check USE MULTITHREADING option
3.2 Next step is uncheck File Output and check DirectShow Output.
3.3 Click Video Settings bar in Bottom of Dxtory.
3.4 In Output settings chose your resolution of recording( you can chose higher than in OBS) and your framerate.
You can chose something like BRB Screen in Blank Image File - this image will show if your dxtory is not recording.
4. Next go to the OBS
4.1Type add and VIDEO CAPTURE DEVICE
4.2 in Device section chose Dxtory Video 1
5. If you setup all propery from this thread you should see in game FPS counter - and when you press F12 you will see something like 60/30Live
Im usually playing EVE in 60 fps and got that 60/59 FPS while streaming.
6. If you pressed F12 and you are Live in game you should see this in OBS Preview:
You can alt+tab your game noone will see your desktop now you are now in "some kind of" Fullscreen mode. You dont need to play in borderless/windowed mode.
7. Start Streaming!
