I dont know if this is the right forum to post this, but i am looking for a encoding tool.

A few days ago i whatched a video in youtube about setting up OBS for recording, this guy had a simple software to encode the videos before upload to youtube.

Unfortunatly i had to format my laptop, and lost all my downloads, now i cant remenber what software was, what video was etc.

Anyone use any type of software to do encoding?

No its not handbreak
The software is just for faster processing.
Before i used this software, youtube took a few minuts to upload and another few minuts to processing.
This software is to moove the index to the beggining of the video, so the processing only takes a few seconds.

That is the "web optimized" option in Handbrake, though obviously other software will support this function too. Perhaps you're thinking of https://github.com/danielgtaylor/qtfaststart which came up after a cursory Google search.

Given its function I'm doubtful that it has any effect on Youtube processing however.

I use handbreack very often, but this software that i am talking about is a standalone one and took nly abount 2 or 3 seconds to "optimize" the video.

It was very eficient and did not mess the video

Sapiens, thanks very much, it is the secound link: mp4 FastStart.
Youtube or Chrome history search is not very reliable.
