Right click your source in the "Sources" box, mouseover "Position/Size" and check "Fit to Screen" and see if that does it.

It's because you are using the 32-bit version of OBS. Unrelated to your issue.

I'm actually not sure why it's behaving like this. Can you remove both sources and re-add just the monitor capture source?

still the same, like i said before it happens on skype as well, like width wise it misses out just over a quarter, and height it chops off around a quarter as well

Your software capture source is simply too big to fit the resolution of your current scene. Right click your software capture source, click "Position/Size" and then select "Fit to screen".

Edit: Sorry, I realize this has already been suggested, and I should be murdered. >:

The only other thing I can think of is you have some sort of other capture software or filter interfering somehow, but that's kind of a stretch =/

just noitced that when i try this software capture out and try use the moniter(desktop) my resolution changes in the settings to 1237 x 696 :S does this mean anything maybe?

FIXED IT,it was aero doing it,if i use the windows 7 basic theme it picks up the hole moniter.so now i just disable aero when i start up open broadcaster and badabing! wonder if i can add this to a guide OBS has incase any1 else gets this problem? shame tbh i hate aero but it stops all my web pages rippling all over the screen when i scroll, sumin to do with vsync i guess.
