I got several crashes of games (ie borderlands 2), which is pretty anoying, and now i'm thinking about getting capture card.
Looking at this one currently
As for me, there is one serious improvement - i can configure single profile and stop using game/software capture which causes crashes.
But what about CPU/GPU usage? My stream is usually Game + Webcam.
AFAIK video encoding is still done on CPU?

That's a decent capture card, and is tested to work well with OBS.

Game Capture arguably uses less resources than capture cards, though, if all you're doing is capturing your game. Though it has some downsides that you may want to avoid by using a capture card.

Thats the exact card I use. It does a real good job...one thing to remember...in some motherboards..like my Asus 990fx..the support tab..the part where you put the screw in to mount it to the case does not lineup correctly. When I do push it over to insert the screw, it will actualy move the card out of the pci-1 slot. This is the only pci-E card I ever had this problem with. It is not off by much..like maybe an 1/8 of an inch..but anytime one of the connectors may not seat exactly as needed in the motherboard is not good. Since I don't touch it..I just insert the card so it is firmly in the MB slot...then hold it while I push in the HDMI cable to make sure I don't unseat the card and don't secure it with the screw. Last week I was having issues where OBS would not see the capture card..I just shut down pc..unplugged it..rubbed the case to reduce static, then took card out..re-inserted..held it, put in hdmi cable...fired PC back up..good to go..guess maybe it got loose in MB and I didn't know it. The one draw back to not securing it to MB I guess. Other than that, card does a real good job. I only stream at 720..1080 takes more bandwidth..and you don't really notice any difference in qulaity.
