Sky's the limit!

I was really very surprised by this software. It does the job and i just loved it! After using it for about a week i would have some suggestions that are either missing from the software or at least i dont know how to use them properly.

1.Diagnostic tool - Reccomended settings
This tool could test bandwidth, memory, cpu ang gpu load. Or, on the other hand, you could input a certain bandwidth that you want to use and the tool could suggest some settings for the best output possible depending on your native resolution as well. Something like the online "estimator" which i love. The other thing that i would love to see is an "automatic bandwith usage limiter" when dropping frames. I already saw other people making this suggestion and i believe it should be a priority since a network congestion is always possible and its not always your bandwidth fault.

2.Easier scene creation.
Its really nothing wrong with the actual way of creating scenes. But a "scene copy" would be a great add. Or even making scene directories for people that stream more than one game.

3.Overlays
An overlay tool would be a fantastic addition imho. An easy way to make graphics come alive on our stream, fully customizable. Of course, its obvious that it would be needed a lot of support from the community but im sure that there are a lot of creative lads out there that would help creating overlays for all type of games and streams. It would be amazing the possibility of sc2 or cod plugins etc.

At last, i have to say that i really i appreciate the effort and the time spent of the creator of this software. It rocks anyways!

What exactly do you have in mind when you refer to "overlays"? Because typically, an overlay is just a static PNG with transparency or an animated GIF, and that is already supported. Just whip something up in your image editor of choice and slap it in.

I was thinking about something similar to "starboard" for sc2
Here' are some example links
http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmes ... _id=205923
http://www.gosugamers.net/starcraft2/ne ... oad-it-now
(hope im allowed to post links here)
The most important features imo are not the images (we can easily just overlay an image to our stream, no problem at all), but managing it, changing scores, player names, colors or even play sound files (sth like sound effects).

Of course i understand its far from what OBS is supposed to do.....but as the title of my post says "sky's the limit"

I'm pretty sure Starboard is already compatible with OBS, just capture via Monitor capture.

Tf there are "overlays" that aren't Xsplit-specific, then they probably already work with OBS in one way or another. Even the "Xsplit Panel Writer" program is compatible with OBS (provided you are using OBS 0.467 or later).

Looking at the planned features jim's working on i found this one:
"Some sort of .NET API interface for C#/VB developers"
Maybe thats the one that im talking about. I m not a fan of monitor capturing since i like to play around with settings while broadcasting (i must admit for some strange reason starboard wouldnt even load on my win8 system) and im having some minor bugs when trying to software capture the overlay software.
Btw, i liked that lio defined as "little work" this amazing output! Whoa!

Im really so sorry that i dont have the knowledge to help improving this great software so i will limit my input just saying "THANKS!"

You do not see the plugin API for OBS. You see a set of two images and video capture from the VLC media player (you can use the windows media player).

Looking at the crossfade between the Intel and nvidia logo on the bottom left, I think you should uncheck "Fade in only" in the Image Slide Show.

Thanks! :) I did not notice a bug....
Sorry my english.
