Question / Help Skype & OBS microphone problems

Hey, so I was in the middle of streaming and had a decent amount of viewers... I switched onto skype to do 2's with a guild member and the audio for my stream completely cut out, and my viewers said the stream screen went black... So I stopped the stream and tried to start it again and it said that it had no audio device or something and it couldn't be restarted... it did this to me with raidcall and teamspeak too...It's like I just can't use any program that used my microphone aswell as stream... it just screws my stream up completely... But I see people streaming arena battles with their friends on skype all the time... how the hell do I get skype to work and my stream without completely ruining my stream?
P.S. I have a AT2020 USB Mic.

Deactivate exclusive mode for your Microphone, that should probably fix it:

I unchecked that box for both my headphones and my microphone and I went on skype and boom crashed my entire stream.

Well, I normally do not change such settings while I am being live streaming ?! This is something for test recordings and rebooting the PC can also be a good idea after changing Windows Settings, and to make sure the new settings get applied.

I assume you tried again after the crash? Was the problem fixed or does it crash every time now?
