Question / Help Skype into OBS

Hi all,

I am trying to get skype into OBS for a masterclass. I want to grab other skype caller's screens and display them onto my OBS stream.
I have the skype content creator version and i am sending NDI which is received into the NDI monitor.
However, i cannot get the NDI option in OBS to grab that feed...
I am on Mac 10.13 (high sierra) the latest OBS and skype as of today.
Am I doing/not doing something wrong? Which version of the NDI plugin do I need to get this to work and be seen in OBS?

Currently you need the 4.1 or earlier version of the NDI runtime from NewTek.

Unfortunately they updated to 4.5 a few days ago and removed the 4.1 version from their site.

If you did not already have a working 4.1 installation, if you don't have a 4.1 distribution to install, then there is nothing I am aware of you can do until either:
  • NewTek restores the 4.1 download because of this issue
  • The OBS-NDI plugin author revises the plugin to work with 4.5
  • NewTek releases an update to 4.5 that addresses the problem this causes with the OBS-NDI plugin
