Simultaneously streaming to 2 different outlets

Hi,

We're looking to simultaneously stream from OBS to Youtube and an SRT (preferred) or RTMP (if OBS can't stream to SRT simultaneously) , but I can't configure it.

We tried going to File --> Settings --> Stream and set Service to custom. Then we entered the SRT IP address and port number.

Then my producer enters his stream key for Youtube, but the settings for Custom then disappear. From what I have read, it should be possible to stream to both Youtube and SRT at the same time from OBS. We'd rather not use a service like restream if possible.

Is there a simple guide on how to do this?

Thank-you.

1. You can't natively stream to 2 stream providers (CDNs) simultaneously, natively, that I'm aware of with OBS Studio [ignoring using OBS Studio's presentation output being configured with say NDI for an alternate target??) anyway
There are 1 or more plugins which enable multiple stream targets
As for a guide, that would be specific to the plugin you choose to use if you go this route

2. streaming to multiple targets often requires
a. lots of extra computer resources to encode second stream (as often the encoding requirements vary). ymmv
b. extra bandwidth (~2X)
a service like restream.io avoids both of these. each approach (plugin vs service) for multi-target streaming has its own Pro's & Con's
