I know Windows 10 is like officially 2 days old (I'm still running Windows 8.1 for the record), but this just hit me:

Could a Xbox One game "streamed" to a Windows 10 PC be captured with OBS?

If so, seems like it would eliminate [the need for] a ton of cables and capture cards....

EDIT: Correct my grammar.

Also wondering if this is possible, would save me a lot of money for now... I do realize a capture card can give you way better quality but if this can be used as a substitute for now until I purchase one, it would be awesome. EDIT: Not a silly question :D

It might work using monitor capture, but more often than not, game and window capture probably aren't going to work. feel free to experiment though! I dont have an xbox one

@dping hey i actually just tried this AGAIN and now it works :D it wasnt working on Wednesday and I tried everything. I just reinstalled OBS to see if that would help and voila it works like magic :D thanks again!!
