Shuffle button does absolutely nothing in VLC Video Source

Howdy!

There seem to be a lot of people unhappy with the shuffle function. However, my issue is not that the shuffle only happens once and needs to be manually re-triggered. My issue is that it never shuffles even once.

I have Loop Playlist and Shuffle Playlist checked. I have a .xspf file loaded as the Playlist file.

The playlist always plays in alphabetical order no matter what I do and I cannot get it to shuffle ever. I have closed and re-opened OBS several times. It always plays the playlist in alphabetical order.

I have no idea why the shuffle will never work even once.

Ok I seem to have come up with a solution.

If I use the Playlist file, it plays tracks alphabetically no matter what.

If I instead add a Directory and select the file folder that all of the tracks are contained in, the shuffle function works perfectly.
