I apologize if there is a post for this already, I did some cursory searching and only seem to find the ones talking about FPS settings for streaming.

I wan wanting to get my FPS to show on screen during game-play and wondered what some of you use to do so. I have the Steam one turned on but and I can see it, but OBS doe snot pick it up. So what do ya'll use to show FPS on screen while using Studio?

TIA

you can try "capture 3rd party overlays" option in game capture source properities, or use display capture but its less efficient than game capture (works quite ok on win8.1 and 10 tbh - depends on game)
its the same as with capturing sweetfx moded game - afaik works only with display capture

Ok, that would grab the entire steam overlay(when I shift tab) though wouldn't it and not just the fps ticker?

If you play CSGO, use this command in CSGO console:

cl_showfps 1
cl_showfps 2 shows medium values.
Try both.
