shoutcast dsp

I was looking for a free version of software similar to SAM broadcaster and realized, if OBS had a DSP plugin to allow someone to connect to a shoutcast or icecast server it would pretty much be the most useful opensource software on the market.

You can do audio-specific stuff in the rewrite. Does FFmpeg support this at all? If so then it definitely will be able to do this. If FFmpeg doesn't already have it, then it can easily be programmed in by someone who wants it.

Please forgive my ignorance, I am not an audio specialist I am just a hobbyist who is learning the inner depths of the medium. What do you mean by "done in the rewrite"?

Update: So I tried using FFmeg and after reading through the documentation I think this route is "slightly" too complex for the people I am trying to help. We are trying to find a decent alternative to SAM broadcaster since our license expired and we don't have $300 to pay for the renewal.

Not saying anything about integrating this into OBS (that would be cool), but a Google search for "SAM Broadcaster alternatives" gave some pretty good results at first glance, like this: http://forum.internet-radio.com/support ... itute.html

Also, way back in the day when there were a lot fewer eyes on the internet, I used to use Winamp for this, so I could listen to my home .mp3 collection at work. I imagine that still works, but maybe doesn't have the features you need...?
