Question / Help Should an 3770K doing nothing but encoding be able to handle 1080p60 when overclocked?

Hi just a quick post.

So I set my old PC up as a stream PC to take some pressure off my main PC. I am using NDI rather than a capture card and the old PC is doing nothing but encoding the stream (webcam, mic etc all still handled on main PC). Using x264 I am unable to get 1080p60 running stable. I am able to get 720p60 using the medium preset but that pretty much taxes the CPU to the max.

I have installed chipset drivers and stuffs but nothing seems to have improved the situation. Am I expecting too much from the 3770K? I kind of thought it might do 1080p60 using the fast or faster preset.

The CPU is clocked at 4.5GHz on all cores too which when considering stock is 3.9GHz all cores, thats a nice speed bump. Defo not overheating and throttling as well. Temps around 75oC.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks.

EDIT: Ok so I think it handles 1080p60 on veryfast - just. Does that sound about right? Like of course I would love to use a higher preset but don't know whether I am obsessing over little details for little gains.
