Question / Help setup own server?

Hey,
me and my brother want to stream to each other without huge delay like on twitch. what is the best way to do this? ha have a linux server... is this maybe a good way to do this and what software i need on server (if it possible)?

you could use wowza. but there is not much less delay to be honest.

At the moment, just by using OBS you'll be getting 3-ish seconds of delay due to the way OBS buffers things. How "huge" of a delay are you talking about on Twitch? In general, Twitch delay is not more than a few seconds, either.

its about 10sec.

Oh, this is why i've decided to run my own server, thought its the server fault. I'm getting 3-4 seconds with some local server and 8-10 with twitch. Is it still actual issue?

Twitch will still cause a delay, yes. It will probably be bigger than your local server delay depending on server distance and load.

OBS has removed almost all client side buffering. Delay caused by OBS is around 1 second or so in my experience.
