Hey guys!

I have tried to do everything myself but unfortunately I am still having issues. I looked up all of the guides I could find to try to not be THAT guy who asks a question that has been answered before but to no avail. Well I would like to stream Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and here are my system specifications.

CPU: i7-2600k
GFX: Nvidia geforce 660ti (also have a sapphire radeon r9 280x dual-x if you think it would be better.)
Ram: 8gb
SSD 120gb

These are my internet bandwidth results:

My OBS settings are as follows:

Encoding:

x264
Use CBR enabled
Max bitrate 3500
Enable CBR padding enabled
Use custom buffer Size enabled
Buffer size 3500

audio encoding codec AAC
format 48kHz
bitrate 128
channel stereo

Broadcast settings:

Mode is Live Stream
My streaming service is twitch
FMS url is EU:Amsterdam, NL (I live in Amsterdam)

minimize network impact disabled

Video:

Base resolution 1920x1080 (my native resolution)

Resolution downscale 1.50 (1280x720)
Filter Bilinear (fastest)
fps 30
disable aero

Advanced:

Use multithreaded optimizations enabled
Process priority class Above Normal
disable encoding while previewing disabled

x264 cpu preset fast
encoding profile main
keyframe interval 2
cuse cfr enabled

rest of the advanced tab disable

I only have one scene and source. The source is a Game Capture source of the game. I do not have any fps issues while I am playing. The issue I am having is that the stream will pause and buffer frequently.

I hope I am not missing something essential but I hope someone can help!

Hope to hear from you soon!

You're using a ridiculously high bitrate, which is causing massive amounts of buffering. 3500 is the maximum recommended, but generally is only advisable for Partnered streamers who have transcoding available. Also, don't try to watch your stream from the same system that's streaming it... it can cause problems.

The 'golden point' for non-Partners is 720p@30fps, 2000kbps. Turn your bitrate down.
Also, turn Aero back on. Disable custom buffer size. Switch back to Lanczos (the performance hit is negligible, but the quality difference is noticeable). Leave the rest in Advanced at default values (aside from keyframe interval 2, that's what it should be).

There are a lot of 'guides' out there that are full of misinformation or outright crap, parroted by people who don't know what most of it actually does. They just heard to do it from someone else, who was told by someone else, who was told by someone else, who was told... you get the idea.

Thank you for all of your replies. Yeah I found some conflicting information so I ended up trying many different things. I did not have problems of fps loss but yes I read that guide as well.

Ferretbomb, that is information I never found! Thanks I have put it down to 2000kbps now and did the rest of the things you put there as well. I will test it soon though I will have to ask a friend to check if it is running properly.
